How long will my session last?

Session times can vary. Time scales involved in sessions are explained on the services page. Sessions normally last between 1-2 hours, unless otherwise stated.

Family and children portrait session times can vary, depending upon factors such as the amount of people involved in the session, how children react in during the shoot and the numbers of outfit changes during the session. If you would like a more accurate measure of time either call or contact us via the website.

How many people can join the session?

The maximum amount of people is restricted to 8 for studio sessions, however if you choose to have your shoot taken on location you can bring the whole family (location permitting).

What should I bring to the session?

Generally anything goes, you can personalise your session by bringing anything you like along. See our hints and tips page for more ideas or call if you have any special requirements.

My child is really shy, should I force them to take part in the session?

At Terri Lee-Shield Photography we would never force a child to take part in a photography session, however to comply with terms and conditions of your session all of your children must attend. If you are worried how your child will react in the session, let us know prior to your session.

The style of photography we create and the session environment will encourage your child out of their shell. Providing a female photographer we have the advantage of generally being able to quickly and easily build trust your child, helping them relax and enjoy the session.

Before your session, encourage your child and remind them how much fun they will have on the day and reinforce how proud you will be of them if they have fun and enjoy themselves. Including some of your child’s toys or sentimental items into the session will also help them forget their inhibitions. Can I include my pet in the session?

Yes, animals are welcome in your session with prior arrangements. See preparation page for more information.

Can you cater for disabled customers?

Yes, Terri Lee-Shield Photography can cater to clients with disabilities. See preparation page for more information.

What should I wear during my session?

Make sure you where something comfortable for your session, and do take some time to read our hints and tips page for more advice on clothing.

Can you come to my home?

Yes, you can have your photographic session anywhere. We can come to your home, you can choose your own location or we can recommend or suggest different locations for your session. If you prefer, you can choose to have your session at our studio.

How far will you travel for location shoots?

We can cover Greater London and the surrounding areas, included in your session fee. If you have any other requirements for location shoots further afield, quotations are available on request and a minimum spend may apply.

How long after my session can I view my images?

After your photography session we will book your viewing appointment to suit your schedule. This is normally within a week of your session. Your first viewing appointment must be made within 3 months of your photography session.

Why do I have to make a separate appointment to view my images, and not view them immediately?

Terri Lee-Shield Photography has a fresh look at photography. Each session is treated individually to create personal, bespoke artwork for your home. This takes time, and to make sure your images are at the highest possible standard we take time to develop them to their full potential.

You will see at your viewing why it is worth the wait.

Why can’t I view my images on line?

At Terri Lee-Shield Photography, we pride ourselves on making your experience personal. We provide a comfortable and relaxed environment to view your images and make decisions on how you would like them to be displayed.

We also choose not to allow online viewing facilities to protect your privacy. By storing your images in a reliable archive system we can also guarantee their security.

How many people can attend the viewing consultation?

Anyone can attend your viewing appointment; details will be taken prior to making your appointment. We recommend for your first appointment you keep your numbers small to allow you to have time and space to make the right decision when choosing your images and products. Sometimes having too many people attending can be distracting and confusing.

We prefer you do not bring children under 10 years old to your viewing appointment and make childcare arrangements for young children for the duration of your appointment. This will allow you to relax in your viewing and make the decision making process easier.

If friends or family would also like to view your images you can make a separate appointment.

How do I book and pay for my session?

You can pay for your session online or over the phone by calling 0208 761 4647. You can also fill out the contact form on this site for a call back. You can pay for your session using a credit or debit card, with cash or cheque (sessions purchased by cheque can only be booked after payment had cleared). To book your session you must call and speak with us directly.

Why can’t I book my photography session or viewing appointment online?

At Terri Lee-Shield Photography, we want to get to know you before your actual session. By calling to book your session we can speak in person and discuss your ideas and what you want from the session. Personal booking allow us to make sure everyone is catered for and all your requirements for the session are catered for prior to the day, making your session experience as easy and relaxed as possible for you.

When do I pay for my session?

Payment for your session is required before your shoot, as a non-refundable booking deposit.

Can I buy a session experience as a gift for someone else?

Yes, in most cases this is possible and easy to do on this website. Terms and conditions do apply to all session purchases (see terms and conditions page). If you have any special requirement or queries please call 0208 7610 4647 or contact me via this website.

How long after paying for my session do I have to book an appointment?

You have 3 months after payment of your session fee has cleared to book an appointment. 

Can I cancel or postpone my session?

Your session fee is a booking deposit. So please make sure everyone in your party can attend the session prior to booking an appointment. If you need to cancel or postpone a session, 5 days notice is required and an alternative appointment can be made.

If you miss your appointment or cancel within 5 day prior to your session appointment, you will be required to repurchase your session fee.

How can I order images?

You can order images in a personal viewing consultation. After your session you will be asked to make an appointment to come and view your images. Your first viewing consultation is included in your session fee; subsequent viewing appointments incur a £50 booking deposit redeemable against your order.

Can I buy loose prints from my session?

No, at Terri Lee-Shield Photography we have a range of stylish frames available to display your images. We frame all our images to preserve the print, creating bespoke works of art to display n your home. All portraits are guaranteed for 3 years, while preserved in their original frames (see T&C’s for more detailed information).

Model portfolio images are offered as prints but are not covered under our guarantee, and are subject to copyright arrangements.

When do I pay for my portraits?

Full payment is requested on the day you place your order (usually at your viewing consultation) by credit or debit card, in cash or by cheque (images paid for by cheque will not be placed into production until full payment has cleared). Alternative arrangements for payment can be made by contacting us.

How long after my order will I receive my images?

Images can take 4-6 weeks to produce. Make sure you book your session with plenty of time before any special occasions.

Models portfolio images are ready within 2 weeks from order date.

How much do the images cost to buy?

The costs of images vary depending upon size and frame style. A full detailed pricelist will be given after your session for you to take a detailed look at before you make your final decision at your viewing consultation. Costs of framed prints vary from £50 to £1000, with multiple product packages available. A price list can be requested by filling out a contact form on this site, remember to include your name and address.

Who owns the copyright of the images?

Terri Lee-Shield Photography owns the copyright of all images taken during the photo shoot, unless prior arrangements have been made. Please see T&C’s for more information.

Can I make copies of my images for the internet or for friends and family?

No, it is illegal to make copies of any images produced by Terri Lee-Shield Photography unless prior arrangements have been made. Please phone if you have any queries of this nature.

Can I have a traditional portrait taken?

At Terri Lee-Shield Photography we pride ourselves on having a fresh look at photography, providing a unique portrait for each client. At first it may seem nerve racking trying something different but the session experience is designed to help you and your family relax and bring out the best in your personalities. Most people much prefer the style of images we produce and value their portraits much more than stiff, posed traditional portraits.

Do you photograph weddings?

No, but Terri Lee-Shield Photography does offer a post wedding fine art shoot. After your wedding we can create beautiful artwork to commemorate the occasion. See services for more information.

I require a photography service which is not offered on your website, do you consider other requests?
